Description

A comforting and satisfying dish that combines juicy chicken, creamy rice, and sautéed onions and garlic.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken fillets
  • 200 g long-grain rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 20 cl liquid cream
  • 50 cl hot chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken fillets into small pieces.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and cook the chicken until golden brown.
  3. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter, then add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until they become transparent.
  5. Add uncooked rice to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the onion and garlic mixture. Cook for about 2 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle paprika over the rice.
  7. Pour the hot chicken broth and liquid cream into the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper; bring to a boil.
  8. Return the golden chicken to the skillet, cover it, and reduce the heat to low. Let cook for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, reduce the amount of cream while keeping the chicken broth proportionate. Adding vegetables like peas or bell peppers can enhance nutrition.
